Assessment is the process by which students and teachers gain insight into learning and development. For every student to achieve their full potential, baseline assessment procedures will be implemented before they join the school, including the use of CAT4 profiling for Year 12-Year 13. The results of these will be used to determine particular strengths and needs of the students and to plan learning programmes that will then address their individual needs.

Appropriate assessments will track students' progress against International Baccalaureate levels. Assessment at the school will be used for both formative and summative purposes. Formative assessment will help staff and students to identify strengths, weaknesses and ways to improve and enhance learning attainment. Summative assessment will provide information to judge the extent to which students have achieved outcomes relevant to the qualities in the programme.
